Joyce Lindquist

Nancy “Joyce” Lindquist, 79 of Cloquet died Tuesday, July 17, 2012 in Sunnyside Health Care Center. She was born Jan. 29, 1933 in Milwaukee, Wisc. to Oscar and Mayme Josephs. Joyce grew up in Kensington, Minn and later moved to Berkley, Calif. She married Howard Lindquist on July 29, 1950 in Berkley.

Joyce was a member of the Finnish Apostolic Lutheran Church in Holmes City. She enjoyed painting, crafting, gardening, and doll collecting.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Howard; daughter, Cheryl Coate; and sisters, Laila Chevez and Irene Bouware.

She is survived by her son, Clifford of Cloquet; brother, Chuck (Linda) Josephs of Santa Rosa, Calif.; sisters, Anne Moe of Tempe, Ariz., and Jane (Jim) Juola of Anoka; brother-in-law, Dan Chevez of Henderson, Nev.; grandchildren, Celestial Arnold, Crystal Jensen, Lance Lindquist, Lonnie Lindquist, Daneil Kacer, Heather Alexander, Shannon Baydass, and Josh Coate; and several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Graveside services were held on Saturday, July 21, 2012 in the Finnish Apostolic Cemetery in Holmes City.
