Duane A. Chapdelaine, 78, of Carlton, died Tuesday, August 14, 2012 in Cloquet Community Memorial Hospital. Born in North Dakota, Duane was the son of Emil and Bernadine Chapdelaine.

Duane was a salesman for Inter-State Detroit Diesel in Bloomington for a number of years until his retirement. He loved to cook and was an avid Vikings and baseball fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Geraldine.

Duane is survived by his daughter, Christine (Earl) Warpula of Carlton; four grandchildren, and a sister, Rose Ann (Robert) Amon of White Bear Lake.
